Feel like walking?
There are numerous hiking trails where you can discover the rich natural heritage of Carcans-Maubuisson:- The Lake Trail (7 km – approx. 1½ hours) takes you up high and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the lake along the entire route.
- Have fun with the family and solve the mysteries of ‘The Gold Rush in the Woods’ with the Terra Aventura app
- The Canal Trail (8 km – approx. 1 hour 45 mins) invites you to explore the marshes and their preserved ecosystem.
- The ‘Paysage de rivages’ trail (1 km – approx. 45 mins), located at the Domaine de Bombannes and accessible to people with reduced mobility, takes you to the lake through the coastal forest, with a digital treasure hunt called ‘ONF Découvertes’ for a fun experience.
- For a longer walk, follow a section of the Way of St Jacques de Compostelle : you can admire the pine-lined shores of the lake.
- Just 10 km away, the Étang de Cousseau Nature Reserve is well worth a visit: two observation towers offer a 360° panoramic view of this protected area.

Just a 20-minute drive from Camping de Maubuisson.On the road to the beaches and a stone's throw from the lake, Ecopark Adventures Lacanau offers thrills and fun galore with its 10 tree-top adventure courses and 1,000m² of high trampolines.
Suitable for ages 2 and up, there is something for all levels, from 1 to 10 metres high. More than 120 activities and 30 zip lines allow you to explore the forest from above with family or friends. The Clic-It Rider safety system makes it easy to use the equipment and keeps you safe throughout the courses, so all you have to do is enjoy yourself. We are open every day during the school holidays, from 1 p.m. (April to June) and from 10 a.m. (July and August). Remember to book online to be sure of a place.
